Way back in May, after I finished my semester abroad in northern Tanzania, I flew to Zanzibar with several of my classmates. It has been 186 days since my last blog post- almost exactly half a year.

Jeremy Bassetti is Professor of Humanities at Valencia College in Orlando, Florida. He received his doctorate from Florida State University in 2014. Prior to Valencia College, Jeremy lived and taught in Seville, Spain, and researched at the Royal Academy of History in Madrid for his dissertation.

UCD Surgical Society was set up to regenerate an interest in the field, from pre med upwards, and cultivate this interest throughout med school, especially in the clinical years.
